You've jumped in to PCIe 4.0 dominio with an Intel Rocket Lake CPU or a recent AMD Ryzen CPU (and compatible motherboard, naturally). Now it's time to capitalize of all that duplicate hurry with an ultra-gimcrack, yet face off-meltingly fast PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD. Amazon third-company seller Store4Memory is selling the Sabrent Projectile 500GB PCIe 4.0 SSD for $76.48.
That sub-$80 Mary Leontyne Pric is down from the familiar $90 you'd wage. It's as wel the incomparable deficient price for this drive. Amazon handles fulfilment for Store4Memory, which means the drive is covered by Amazon's return policy.
We haven't reviewed the Sabrent Rocket for PCIe 4, but we did look at the Sabrent Rocket Plus, giving it 4.5 out of 5 stars and an Editors' Choice Award. This non-Addition Rocket also averages 5 out of 5 stars on Amazon from nearly 10,000 ratings. Suffice to read, you should constitute very felicitous with this drive.
Sabrent says you can gestate read speed equal to 5,000 megabytes per second, and write speeds some 2,500 MB/s using PCIe 4.0-compatible gear. If you'atomic number 75 buying this force back to future proof and are currently using PCIe 3.0 Sabrent says those speeds dip down to 3,400 MB/s for sequential reads and the same 2,500Mbps for writes.
An important note about this drive—and most PCIe 4.0 drives—is they were planned to use honking big heatsinks for level bes performance. This drive doesn't come with the heatsink included, but you can beak one up for $25. If that's too more than you can also try using it with the heatsink that came with your motherboard's M.2 expansion slot, but that Crataegus laevigata result in reduced performance.
